Does it work on Android?
No. ExamMode is an iPhone app and needs iOS 17 or later, because it uses Apple’s Screen Time controls to pause apps.
What if I need my phone in an emergency?
Open ExamMode, tap Emergency unlock and wait 30 seconds. The app opens for 5 minutes without touching your time bank. You get one a day. Only the apps you picked are ever blocked.
What happens when the trial ends?
Blocking turns off so your phone is never stuck. Your courses, questions and streak are saved, and you can subscribe whenever you want to switch it back on.
Which apps can be blocked?
Any app or category you choose in Apple’s picker: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, games, the lot. You set the study hours, and you can change the list any time except during a Deep Focus session.
Does it read my notes?
Only to write questions. The text of the material you upload is sent to Anthropic’s Claude to generate questions, and you review them before they go live. Nothing is used for ads or tracking.
Can I turn it off?
Yes. Blocking runs on a schedule you control, and you can switch it off in Settings.
